Thanks to rezzeJ for lighting a fire under me. Sorry this one was late. I'll try and have these up the night before moving forward.

That's wonderful, it brings to mind an artery, which essentially it is.
The Cadillac Ranch is pretty psychedelic. There's nothing out there but grasses and sky and graffitied cars.
I was in Texas last year, but nowhere nearby unfortunately. Always a next time! Similarly, I really want to visit/see the airplane boneyards in Arizona and New Mexico. My brain can't comprehend so many planes (knowing commercial jets are not exactly the cheapest things per unit) just sitting out in desert-esque conditions. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2336804/The-g...
Great composition, I'm glad you are enjoying the challenge. Your photos have been great. Good luck with the exams!
Love this, good composition. It's so hard to take good pictures of objects this size from an angle like this. All you can do is something interesting like this and it looks good!
Well, it's a valley in the Alps. The towns aren't super elevated. Looks like Lauterbrunnen is at 2600 feet. The waterfall you're looking at is spectacular, but it's one of a dozen that fall down those cliffs, and there are two completely different waterfalls within striking distance that are much more interesting. I took a mountain bike up the valley so I could see them all at my leisure, made a day trip out of it. One of the best days of my life. One thing that I remember from Lauterbrunnen was that about ten minutes after I took that picture my phone died, and I panicked (as much as you can when your life is basically perfect) because I had to be able to take pictures at Trummelbach Falls. I don't speak German, but I picked a store, went in and got the point across to this gorgeous German girl (surprise) that I needed to borrow a phone charger if possible. I hung out with her while my phone charged, and finally bought like thirty slabs of chocolate from her store as a thank you. One of a thousand extremely friendly interactions I had with Germans (Swiss and otherwise). Amazing countries, both.
Oh, I wouldn't even bother trying to speak Swiss German. Here's a tip: whenever you lose a phone charger, head to the largest hotel in town and explain that you stayed there a few nights ago and left your charger. There is a chance that there is a lost and found composed of mostly "lost items". If you feel guilty about doing this, simply "lose" one of the same kind of items at another similar locale. I never made it to Switzerland, though I wish I had. I didn't go because my friends were skydiving over Basel and I didn't have the cash. If I remember correctly, I chose to hang out in Amsterdam (which was much closer to where I was living) instead. Study-abroads in Europe are so great.
Man! Photos like that make me want to pick up and go...
Wow, there's nothing "garbage" about that image.
I meant to include that, whoops. It is Volcán Tacaná. It was an awesome hike, but it was also not the easiest mountain to access. Edit: I was on Tacaná when I took the picture. I don't know what the mountain shown in the picture is called, but the general area is the Guatemala-Mexico border close-ish to the Pacific.
Thanks. It's a little too vivid for my tastes. I feel like I need another more toned down edit.
They weren't close to Sydney Metro or CBD, nearest were Blue Mountains/Springwood, so about 45kms away, but enough to blanket Sydney with brown/orange smoke: http://www.theguardian.com/world/gallery/2013/oct/17/austral...
Is that orb in the sky the sun? Still, slightly apocalyptic, non?
-Yes.
It was starting to get dark here in England so I just wanted to be able to get a shot before evening came. I got this one in the business park, I probably looked a little odd to anyone in their office.
I'm considering letting you all know what the next 4 themes will be but not saying in what order I'll post them. This way all weekend long we can think about them as we are out and about. What do you think?
