My sister posted this on Facebook with the tag "LOL MY SIS TOOK THIS AS I GOT OUT OF BED. XDDDDDDD", making fun of kids her age that spend hours getting ready for a photo, then claiming that it just happened magically. She's as cynical as I was in highschool, if not moreso...this was actually for a holiday. I'm not ever one for photos of myself, but damn if I don't look good in this one, heh. Here's a commission someone did of me that I use as my catch-all online profile picture.
Good eye, I didn't catch that at first. I have a brother-in-law that is obsessed with Dr. Pepper's "Code Red". -It's amazing he still has teeth. As for the instruments, I for one am more interested in the banjo. That, plus a mandolin are two instruments I'd like to add to my collection. T-Dog, you play that banjo much? If not, I'll take it off your hands. -You can keep the Dr. Pepper guitar :)
I don't remember dr pepper ever having a code red flavor. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Mountain Dew? The banjo was given to me by my grandfather on my moms side. I do play it, but not as much as I should. It needs new strings and the action is a little too high. It sounds wonderful though - I suck at it but I'm learning at my own leisurely pace.
Yep, definitely thinking Mt Dew, my bad. One of the cool things about the banjo and the mandolin is that if you're even marginally good at playing them, they're a ton of fun. I'd say the same of the ukelele.
Haha, oh god, I didn't even think about that being in the frame when i posted. It has probably the most boring story out of all the instruments in the pic. It was given to me as a gift by my recently-made-ex-girlfriend at the time, because my favorite soft drink is Dr. Pepper and i think it was part of her long, dramatic quest to win me back. This was the beginning of my senior year in high school, and when she gave it to me i wasn't sure how to handle the situation so i just put it in my locker. There it sat for the entire school year and then one day i cleaned out all my stuff and just couldn't throw it away... its been sitting in my room/practice space ever since. i never changed the strings or even plugged it in. It hasn't had much of a purpose for me but my last night my friend actually pointed it out and insisted that it HAD to be on a stage at some point. So i guess we'll see what happens.
I never thought about what you look like....but you pretty much look exactly like I imagined. If that makes sense.
I had the same reaction when I saw B_C for the same time. It's not an insult or a compliment... it just is what it is. He is BLOB_CASTLE. I always pictured him with a stand-up bass at his side too...
Walk of Shame I had a fabulous drink last night...after the corona and coors light at the BBQ....and wine at the awesome fashion show....it was called a Mezcalifornia Dreamin: mezcal, Art in the Age Sage, Cointreau, lime, simple. I seriously love mezcal. It's so smokey and makes any drink so much more interesting. A Happier Side of Insom This is from when I would dress up as Ariel for children's birthday parties. Play, facepaint, feed them. Good fun and even better tips.
Posting a straight up selfie because I don't really have anything interpretive for this one. :( Second camera on tripod and timer, another Nodak trip picture.
