I'm a reddit user who migrated to snapzu. Snapzu is down from the exodus so I decided to check out hubski as well. So, hello everybody!

Hey pickle, if you have any questions about the site, let us know. I see snapzu mentioned sometimes. Glad you found a place you enjoy. I always say that I don't eat at just one restaurant, why would I visit just one aggregator? Variety is the spice of life!

Welcome!

Exactly. I think the sort of "one site only" thing really has been a toxic part of online communities for the past few years. You are either a 4chan user, a reddit user, a tumblr user, or a 9gag user. I don't see why that has to be. Why can't we just be part of multiple communities? It works fine with forums. Why not content aggregation?

Welcome, try the fish, etc. If you can make it past 15 days, you'll probably work out.

The fish?

Hello, picklefingers! Redditor here as well - what are your thoughts on Snapzu?

I too looked at Snapzu. I see it being a reddit-lite and that will only end up making it Reddit-Full and we go through the whole insanity again.

It is worth sticking around for an invite code and giving Snapzu a shot still?

I am one of the people who are majorly pushing the site right now (I posted the invite dump thread on /r/redditalternatives) and I am an active member/moderator. I really like the site and the only thing that is keeping me from using it as my primary site is activity. The only major drawback right now is that they haven't quite finished working out their moderation process quite yet so moderating is a little tricky. However, the admins are quite active, so if things go wrong, you aren't in too much trouble. Besides that, I absolutely love the site. I'd recommend anybody come and check it out and see if the community is right for you.

Ah I requested an invite code from them and am still waiting. I'm interested in seeing what it looks like. For now, hubski is getting a shot. Still figuring it out slowly but so far it isn't too bad. I like the discussion orientation build of it!
