But do you take a portable heater into your freezing office to keep warm on a hot day. I worked at place that had to send out a stern memo, out-lawing the offending appliance. The buildings fuse blocks were being blown at an uncomfortable rate.

Freezing to death in a restraunt on a hot summers day keeps me from spending money on eating out, and being forced to stick my nose in a cup crammed full of ice while streching my lips to get a sip of water.

The other David Mitchell I've read is Black Swan Green and it such a great thing I decided to grab the next book on the shelf. Ya know I' a Joseph Conrad fanatic, and I'm always looking for some one that could write them like that. he close, but his seasoning is different.

The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell. It's packed full of fun nodules, a bit warty with the nomenclature, and interestingly; I have no idea what's going on but can't get enough of it.

The story is finished, the left-overs must be tied together in a cold stinking bouquet of the epilogue.

The Needles in the Canyon Lands N.P. Is a jewel. Story: I'm not up on all the astronomical happenings, and got caught of guard by the Hale-Bopp comet. We could not guess what it was, at first we thought it was some one on the Mesa with a weird flash light, but the scale wasn't right; the the air plane theory was floated and shot down, it did't move fast enough; then we smoke a bowl and concluded that the universe had just been sliced open, and the wound was left to flap in cosmic breeze, and left it at that.
