But how many people and corporations would be willing to take that risk? Sure, it would be a lot cheaper, but Detroit simply doesn't have the resources and infrastructure to support the same things as San Francisco. Unless there was a huge crash in silicon valley that affected companies there the way the automobile industry collapse affected Detroit, there's little incentive to leave. In their eyes, don't fix what ain't broke.
I would have to do more research, and I agree that without moderation this could be disastrous, but it also seems a little hasty to claim any new build is a death herald to the city.
I can see why some of those buildings should stay standing as monuments of Iran's culture, but what is wrong with modernisation? If it is of benefit to the people of Tehran, why shouldn't they be allowed malls and skyscrapers?
Would you recommend it to anyone else, or is it something you think was particularly applicable to you?
I think that would be The Sun Also Rises. It really made me think about who I am and what I value. Ernest Hemingway is still my favourite author, and I try to retain his discipline and remember my values in everything I do.
Ah, thanks
I'll try and post more things with #outsiderart, because it's a very unique subject, and I'd love to hear people's thoughts on it
Wow, that's super awesome! I'm very impressed

I play guitar, but lately I've been trying out a bit of production, so I have a lot of VST instruments (synths, pianos, cellos, clarinets, etc). Is that tag only for building upon a melody with other instruments, or is there a call for mixing help as well?
Did you know he was going to play there?
I see, thanks for the explanation.
Interesting. Bass is something I would like to learn, but I've never had the chance to. What kind of techniques do you use, and how would heavy gauge strings affect that? My dad brought me up on classic rock, but I've since expanded into just about everything I can listen to. Lately I've been listening to a lot of outsider music; Jandek in particular is fascinating.
I've been reading Songs in the Key of Z, so I looked into some art brut paintings. I find them absolutely fascinating, particularly Kurelek's The Maze. I also love impressionism and expressionism, as well as their abstract progenies.
I'm Scottish, living in Texas (family in oil business), currently on holiday back in the homeland.
Yeah, I really love that feeling of improvement. For the first five or so years I played guitar I was never that great at it, but ever since I've become passionate about music theory and production, I can feel my creativity exploding. What kind of music are you playing?
